Day 2 is here.. We have left the good old USA, and we have headed to France!

We started the day with one of my favourite breakfasts.. and a breakfast I remember having on a school trip to France when I was around 11 years old. Croissants with a variety of spreads, and a nice hot cup of hot chocolate.. I told the kids the French like to dip it in the hot chocolate (I dont know if this is factually correct 🤣 I just remember them telling me to do so when I was in France all them many moons ago!) My boy Dylan, loved that, my girls, not so much, but one thing is for sure.. they all loved the breakfast! Dylan said to me, “I wish we lived in France so we could have this for breakfast every day!”

After breakfast, (and after speeding through the homeschooling) Dylan gave the girls a French lesson.. You’re a great teacher Dylan! And they all enjoyed learning how to speak French 😊
For lunch we had Croque Madam and Croque Monsieur.. Yum! And a lovely voice note from our favourite Frenchie, Manue. 😊

For dinner we also had one of my favourite dinners! (Well some of it anyway..)
For the starter we had pate and escargot. It was the first time trying snails for the kids.. (I cant stand them! Hubby loves them!) .. it didn’t go down well 🤣🤣 I told them they were like French mussels (as they love mussels!) .. I did fess up after and told them they were snails.. Daisy, my 5 year old, was very unhappy with me.. she shouted “why would you let me eat snails!!!” Luckily she has forgiven me now though.. For the main course, my favourite, Duck a’lorange with potato dauphinoise and French beans. And for dessert we had creme brulee, (I wanted to make it but ran out of time so shop bought it was), still delish tho.. and later on the kids had a pan Au chocolate.
The French definitely know their food! Without doubt one of my fave cuisines, and I have lots of fond memories of delicious French restaurants I’ve visited here in the UK and France.

After dinner we went to Disneyland Paris.. the kids were feeling brave and went on a few of the roller coasters, went to the Frozen experience and then we visited the Eiffel Tower.. I have cut the videos for here, but we watched lots of virtual videos and spent a good couple of hours in the virtual world.. If you do anything, do this! Is was so easy to do, cost nothing and so realistic.. we all had a lot of fun!!
(All this is, is TV on the floor, dining chairs either side and a large blanket over the whole thing..)

And lastly, our photo album of all the fun places we visited on our one day, whirlwind tour, of France.. Enjoy!!

We have loved France! Its been a lot of fun! We hope you have enjoyed it too! We will be back tomorrow on Day 3 of our world tour.. Italy! 😊
